The Origin of Love

Within the spiritual energy dynamics of the soul, the origin of love begins in the first moment of soul awareness.

The individual soul arises within the divine motion of All That Is.

A moment of spontaneity. A moment of vulnerability. A moment of complete trust.

There is no hesitation.

There is anticipation, excitement, and joy.

The soul feels, experiences, expresses its entire nature.

A moment referred to as the I AM moment.

The soul emerges as I AM.

In this emergence, the soul has awareness of self and other.

The most profound awareness of other is that there is that which is transcendent to the soul and, yet, contains, holds, embraces the soul.

At the same moment of this soul awareness, the transcendency, All That Is, has awareness of all that the soul is and can become, infinitely and eternally.

An incredible awareness experienced in reciprocity, in infinite feedback between the soul and its one source.

This flow of divine attention is the soul’s first experience of Love.

At its depths, love is that ability to give attention to the divine fullness of the person, of the event, of the experience, of the location, of the all.

Love is the ability of your heart to focus completely and without limitation on the object of your focus just as All That Is does for you.  

Consider this definition of Love:

 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 

⁵ It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 

⁶ Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 

⁷ It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

! Corithians 13:4-7

When one is absorbed in divine presence, there is no room for judgment, for criticism, for blame, for fear.

The heart is open to trust, to express, to engage fully, profoundly, without any sense of reservation.

Just as the One Source observes, witnesses, gives attention the soul — the soul has learned to do the same and not seeks to participate as the path to love self and other in the same way as it has received from the transcendent.

For all of us, the choice in this moment is love.
