What to Expect from an Akashic Records Course?
I get lots of questions about what to expect from an Akashic Records course.
There are lots of Akashic Record teachers out there and they don’t all say the same thing or teach the same way.
How do you find the “right” one?
My best suggestion:
Trust yourself to find the teacher and learning process which resonates with your heart.
Getting to the depths of the Akashic Records comes primarily from trust and intention.
That’s why when you begin learning you start with self-trust. Where do you have trust issues? What do you need to shift to move into a place of deep trust? Do you feel safe and comfortable to make these adjustments in your life and within your new Akashic Records Practice?
Any course you take, whether on your own or with a teacher, you need to feel you have sacred space to face your challenges with trust.
It’s the only way to develop a connection with the Akashic Records that you trust and can maintain over the long-term.
After feeling into your sense of trust then allow this awareness to guide you to the learning process and teacher for you.
Look at the material that is offered within the course — both content and format. Does this work for you?
Look at the learning process. Is it entirely at a remove — like only videos and books? Does this work for you?
Or would you rather have a process where you connect directly, in-person, maybe even one-on-one with the teacher?
Look at the ethical framework that is inherent within the process. Not every learning program includes even an acknowledgement of ethics and how to maintain boundaries within the integrity necessary to maintain connection with the Akashic Records.
Look at the fees and tuition. Do you have to promise to pay the teacher if you decide to hang a shingle as an Akashic Records Reader? Is there a clear sense that they deliver what they promise?
Take the entire program in and ask yourself these questions:
Is this the way for me to learn to open the Akashic Records?
Is this my teacher?
Is the time now?
Essentially, to find the right study path is a personal process which only you can do for yourself.
Personally, I have found that a learning process which accommodates my pace and rhythm is best. Sometimes I move quickly through material. Then I want a period of reflection to absorb what I have learned. I like being able to refer back, ask questions, and dive deeper as I am ready.
I also like a level self-accountability. And a sense of direction and completion.
As a student, I want a sense that I am not left alone to wallow in whatever is giving me trouble. I want a clear way to reach out and check in. But I also don’t like the feeling of someone hanging over my head watching every move. An easy give and take.
For me this is a matter of connection. How and when and where can I connect with the teacher?
I want a direct connection. I want to be able to reach out, ask questions, interact. I want to know that my teacher puts a priority on authentic connection with students.
I want a real person, living a real life, and doing their best coping with the challenges and opportunities of life. Someone who presents as having obtained the perfect life without trouble isn’t going to get me or be able to legitimately support my learning process.
Last but not least, I look at the content of the course. Is what is offered significant and thorough? Ideally I want a teacher presenting her own perspective and wisdom — I don’t need a cookie-cutter teacher repeating what he learned elsewhere and perhaps re-packaged.
What about you? How do you learn best? Historically, what’s worked? What’s been missed?
I have been guiding people into the Records for over twenty years. There are several ways to proceed.
To learn how to open the Akashic Records, you can venture out on your own with the thorough and complete guidance you find in my books — especially the step-by-step directions included in my book Akashic Records Masterclass.
When some direction and personal contact feels right, look into the courses I offer. Begin with this overview page: Akashic Records Intensive. My primary focus here is to share unique, innovative content and direct, personal connection with me as you study. My aim is to provide the intensive, in-depth class that I would want.

The following articles explore learning the Akashic Records in a variety of different ways. I share these because each article represents an aspect that I have personally experienced and that many students have reported gaining tremendous benefit.
