Can Connection with the Akashic Records be Constant?

Can connection with the Akashic Records be constant? Yes, but why? The important elements are your intention and learning to trust yourself.

Participant: I wanted to ask you if I opened the Akashic Records with my intention and that intention brings consciousness made manifest, which is another way for me to call connection, maybe? So, will this keep me connected for always?

Cheryl:

In a certain sense we are always connected. If you look at this energetically, we’re always connected, right? And so the intention is about, am I going to be aware in this moment of the connection?

Sometimes a new student will say to me, “I love doing this. I love it so much. I’m going to get up every morning and I’m going to open my Records and I’m just going to leave it open and I’m going to go out about my life. And then that way I can live within the energy of the Akashic Records all day.”

And there’s a couple of reasons why I say don’t do that.

One is because it lacks intention. The Akashic Records are Divine Assistance, right? And the whole way Divine Assistance works is that you ask and receive. So if I just open the Records and go on about my day, I’m not bringing intention to that connection.

And so the thing that makes this powerful is your intention and your ability to ask and receive. So just having it open like that willy nilly isn’t going to get you anywhere because you haven’t brought the most important parts, which are the intention and the asking and the receiving, right?

And it also can give you this sense of, I’m in a special place because I’ve learned to do this, so now my journey is done. And I would disagree with that idea. I don’t think you ever get the journey done.

And if you are continuously connected with the Akashic Records, it’s almost like that ends up meaning that your relationship with the Records is outside in, and so it’s reinforcing the idea that somehow the Records are so special and better than you, that’s why you would go there to get answers.

Whereas with intention, you’re not going to get answers so much as you are asking something that’s going to help you look inside of you and figure out what’s true for you and what works for you.

Because the Akashic Records can tell you all kinds of things. And what’s relevant isn’t what you’re told to do. What’s relevant is how you choose to interpret or implement that within your life. Because the Records aren’t going to take on responsibility for you. Did that answer the question?

Participant: Yeah, I think so. I think the ask and receive is definitely something I can relate to. If I want to be reminded, for example, during the day that the Akashic Records are available to me, is that something, for example, that I can ask? How can I be helped?

Cheryl:

So what they want to say is, they want to add or provide another perspective here and bring
these two perspectives together.

They would say that the most important thing you can learn from working with the Akashic Records is to learn to trust yourself to get to your truth, right? So the whole thing, in a certain sense, the whole goal there is to help you learn to trust yourself. And so that’s why they will then answer your question by saying that the best way to be able to ask and receive from the Akashic Records is to trust yourself that when you need to ask and receive from the Records, you will think of the Records and you will ask the Akashic Records. Because otherwise you get yourself into a place where now what you’re dealing with is some magical, to-do list that’s always going to bring you there. And that doesn’t really exist, or at least it doesn’t exist within the way the Records deal with me.

I remember in the beginning of being a teacher with all of this, I thought, isn’t there a way to make this so that it’s very easy for people to tell if they’re in the Records? And they’re like, but that would basically be training wheels and at some point, the training wheels need to come off. So let’s just do this from the beginning with no training wheels. It’s learning to really trust yourself that when you need to open the Records, you will. That’s really what it comes down to, right?

And so then, the other part of it is that by using the Records as a way to learn to trust yourself, what you’re doing is you are connecting with your own sense of knowing when you connect with the Akashic Records. And so learning to trust yourself is then also, in part, learning to trust your ability to get to your knowing, to get to an answer. Because you’re going into the Akashic Records and asking a question and getting a response.

You get a response, but it’s also training you to hear responses. whether it’s focused in the Records or it’s focused on you or something else.

Participant: Very interesting. Thank you.
