God to My Goddess is one of a series of poems that I have written about sacred relationship. There is a give and take which is important within authentic connection between lovers. We anticipate our best at the same time we consider our worth and our ability to show up as the partner we hope is desired and enjoyed.
I want the King to my Queen, the Horned God for my Goddess.
The man who I can trust to yield my neck.
The man who will accept the whiteness of my belly.
The man who will protect me with fierce love
And defend me with loyal action.
He comes fully alive in my presence
And embraces me with warmth and passion and gentle arms of strength.
He is a contrast like me.
Honorable, generous, full of heart.
He will hold me and cuddle me.
Bringing nature into our lives.
And when the sands of time have come and gone.
We will still be there, each for the other
God and Goddess entwined.
