Is there a glitch in the Matrix? The answer crosses boundaries and calls us to be more conscious of the expanding fluidity of the human experience.
Question:
A lot of people are noticing really strange things happening, things that are outside the norm. Is this like a glitch in the Matrix?
Participant:
I thought maybe you could speak a little bit about this. You said a couple of times that the rules are changing and the rules are being rewritten in this time of change and stuff like that, and I was curious if you’d comment. I’ve heard of a lot of people noticing really strange things, like things that are outside the norm. For instance, I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but a couple weeks ago, I saw the needle on my gas tank rise from three quarters to full, which is very unusual.
It’s not like the tank was really filled, but another friend also mentioned that. Another one said the compass in their car was spinning out. Another person I know of in Ohio stopped at a light and saw a plane literally freeze in the air. No noise, no nothing. And she thought she was crazy, but she saw other people taking their cell phones out and taking pictures of it.
And then the light turned green, so she had to go through it, but when she looked back, everything looked like it was normal. And it’s just these little weird glitches. They call them, I don’t know, matrix glitches or whatever. And I thought maybe it’d be a fun thing to end on, if you might comment on some of that.
Cheryl:
Sure. Okay, so first of all, what they’re saying is what you’re describing crosses three or four different answers. Which is partly to say it’s not all happening for the same reason.
So, what they want to say about this is that essentially we’re in a place of becoming more aware of our fluidity, which is that things aren’t quite as cut and dry as we might like to think. And it is not that things aren’t moving smoothly, it’s more about how our awareness is expanding.
This means that the other thing that really needs to be expanding is our understanding of why things happen, because in a certain sense, it’s the difference I talk about between dynamic and static, right? Static is about the linear point of view, past, present, future, 3D space, all that kind of stuff.
Dynamic is going into the ideas of the infinite and the eternal. So as our awareness expands, partly what we need to let go of is the immediate impulse to try to explain it. Because there can be a lot of different reasons and partly because let’s say the reasons exist outside of linear time, trying to explain them from a linear point of view ends up muddying the waters and condensing the possibility. It’s more about just having the awareness that weird things happen, and being a witness to it rather than an interpreter of it.
It’s oh, look at that. I noticed that happening. Oh, look at that. I noticed that happening. And by not immediately trying to explain it, it opens us up to the possibility that we couldn’t get to before. Most of the answers for, like, “why does that work that way?” or “why is that happening?” have a dynamic answer rather than a static answer. And our habit is to ascribe static answers to everything. Not that there aren’t “correct static answers.” It’s just that in the expansion that’s happening, part of what you have to do is expand how you respond to things. It’s like the awareness of the unknown.
