Soul’s Choice for Physical Expression: The motion that creates each individual human being is essentially a soul stepping off the cliff into the unknown, the experience of knowing the awe of the boundlessness.
Participant: How do souls decide which physical expression to take when they come to Earth
as human beings? And that actually comes from the Words of Personal Power course, because
I’ve been very struck by how the Words of Personal Power have been very physical in terms of
the physical expression. So the DNA, the sort of genetic inheritance, the ancestral inheritance.
And I thought, now, why would a soul decide, okay, I’ll take on that lifetime here? I’m a nice
free, happy little soul around up there and I decide to take on all this crappy lifetime here, to tell
you the truth?
Presumably it’s to do with learning. Because if you’re not learning, if you’re just happy with the
human form that you’ve taken, you wouldn’t really develop. I mean, if you look at all of us here,
we wouldn’t be here if we hadn’t had challenges in our lives. At least that’s my feeling. I’d be
sitting there with my knitting basically thinking, okay, this is great. This is a lovely existence, but
because we’ve had the challenges, we’re looking to understand it. So we’re looking for learning.
So I don’t know what my specific question is.
Cheryl Marlene:
Well, where they want to start is how do souls decide which expression to take when coming to Earth?
Okay. Let’s see if I can explain this.
So you may have heard me say something about the fact that there are three co-creative forces and from a physical point of view, from a linear point of view, there’s your physical inheritance.
So it’s what you gain, what you get from the physical body that you are.
Then there’s your spiritual inheritance, which comes through the soul that you are.
And then the third force, which is what animates you and turns you into something more than a point on a timeline, is what the Records call Universal Life Force, which is the animating motion of the universe.
And so while it’s true that the soul gets a choice and can make a decision, the soul knows from the moment the soul says, I want to take form on Earth, and to some degree it’s actually even more general than that.
It can be, I want to take physical form.
That is a request that brings the soul into interaction and harmony with the Universal Life Force.
So in other words, from the moment the soul says, I want to hold physical expression, the soul is aware that they’ve stepped into essentially the flow of the unknown and the unexpected.
They’re saying to me that from the soul’s point of view in non-physical reality, there’s no expectation that it will be exactly the way it might want.
In other words, the motion that creates each individual human being is essentially a soul stepping off the cliff into the unknown, but they’re not going into the unknown in the same way we might think of it as the unknown because the soul understands it as the experience of the knowing of the boundlessness.
It makes me want to cry because it’s like they’re showing me how a soul stands there in awe, in absolute awe of all it is, and that it has that ability to join in.
So for the soul, it’s not really stepping off into the unknown, it’s stepping into all that can be known, which essentially explains why, in a certain sense, you end up with what you end up with.
It’s the Universal Life Force placing you where you need to be.
I mean, the beauty in that and seeing that feeling, it’s hard for me to describe the joy that’s experienced by every soul as it steps forward.
It makes that choice.
It says, I want to do this, but it has no idea what it’s getting itself into.
In some ways it doesn’t, but yet it does, because it’s looking at it from the point of view that there’s beauty, there’s that amazing expression.
Yeah, it goes to Earth and it’s very possible that it could end up in a life where they spend the entire time starving to death.
The soul gets that.
But it’s looking at all of that from the perspective of the awe that all of this exists and it gets to participate.
Participant: Is that how being a witness connects with this? Is there awe at being a witness?
Cheryl Marlene:
Yes, in a certain sense, the point of being a witness is because the witness has the potential, if the witness is open, to be able to connect with the awe that is in any experience.
Participant: Almost like beginner’s mind.
Cheryl Marlene:
Yes, in a way, yes, beginner’s mind, right? Because I don’t have to do anything to have the experience.
I just need to be aware, and I have the experience, and in a certain sense, what they’re saying, it’s not choosing awe, it’s knowing that awe exists, and I can be conscious of how awe exists in this moment and in every moment, and in a certain sense, when we take form, that’s the experience we’re looking for.
So what you said earlier about learning, yes, they would say that what we’re doing is we’re choosing to have a learning experience.
We’re choosing an experience that helps us in a particular way to connect with our sense of the boundlessness in any moment, just like we could choose to have an experience in which we feel disconnected from the boundlessness.
So while it wouldn’t be true to say that the soul’s choices aren’t taken into consideration or whatever, it is much more about that the soul willingly steps into a place understanding that none of their choices may be met, because the soul can get pretty specific.
But at the same time, the whole experience of becoming human isn’t about getting your choices met.
It’s about how you choose in the moment to experience whatever it is that you are experiencing.
So the whole be here now, the power of now, all of that kind of stuff is very much an expression of soul energy because the soul understands that inherently, intrinsically, it’s not something that a soul really needs to know.
It’s just that by the soul knowing, it makes it possible for the body and the mind and the heart to know.
