In a recent Akashic Record Insights workshop, we had a discussion about souls based on this question:
Do you get people who don’t have any souls?
The relationship between the soul, physical body, and universal life force is dynamic and complex. Souls may choose varying levels of connection, leading to experiences of alignment or disconnection. These choices, conscious or unconscious, shape each individual’s journey, challenging conventional ideas of cause and effect.
Transcript Summary:
Participant: So you talked the last time about souls and walk-ins, that when a child is conceived, the soul is not necessarily part of that, and they might sort of join in there then, or later and halfway through their life, they might decide, I don’t want this anymore. So do you have people who don’t have any souls?
Cheryl Marlene:
Oh, they just want to have fun today. First of all, it kind of starts with the answer. Well, it depends on how you want to define soul.
Participant: Oh gosh, I already hurt. My head hurts.
Cheryl Marlene:
Oh my God, this cracks me up. But really, the fundamental idea of a soul is that it’s motion within the transcendent that identifies itself as, let’s say, individual. It’s also aware there are many other individuals. To come to Earth, there must be at least that much intention for the body to be created—at least initially.
This means you can end up with, let’s say, a human being who doesn’t feel like there’s much soul intention there. That can be a soul’s choice. It can also be a misalignment between the physical and spiritual aspects of a person. I’m trying to get more information about that.
Participant: So you have the three co-creative forces, physical, spiritual, and universal life force. Can you just leave out the spiritual?
Cheryl Marlene:
Both intentionally and unintentionally, you can limit how much spiritual connection is present, just as you can limit how much physical connection exists. This can be consciously chosen or unconsciously limited. It can also result from the interaction between the physical and spiritual within the universal life force. Universal life force doesn’t consciously impose limits; it’s about how these elements interact in any given moment.
This interaction often raises questions like, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” From our perspective, we may observe individuals who appear completely disconnected—physically or spiritually—to the point that it seems as though there is no soul present. Why this occurs varies from person to person.
To the question, “Is it possible for there to be no soul?” another way to answer is that the process creating a human being might only fill the crucible with a spark of the soul, rather than its entirety. For various reasons, it might feel or appear that there’s no soul, even though a soul is likely present. In some cases, the human being’s conscious or unconscious choices lead to what could be described as a complete disconnection from their spiritual essence.
Every human being is an interaction of physical and spiritual aspects animated by universal life force. This dynamic always exists and is fundamental to creating a human being. However, each person makes both conscious and unconscious choices about how they live and experience this connection. For instance, someone we might call a psychopath could have a very limited awareness of their spiritual side. This might result from a conscious soul choice, chemical imbalances in the body, or significant events in their history, such as birth trauma or early childhood experiences.
What limits awareness of physical and spiritual connection happens for a wide variety of reasons. From an outside perspective, it may seem like there’s no soul present. Yet, it’s likely that a soul exists but that, somewhere along the way, the choice was made to not experience or feel that connection.
Participant: So probably maybe they were born with an intact soul and they just kept ejecting parts of it because of different parts of their life. Possibly somebody such as a certain political character walking around with a lot of soul bubbles attached to them, a whole bunch of balloons all around them from the various places in their life where different things got ejected.
Cheryl Marlene:
Yep, that’s absolutely one possibility, right?
Participant:
Your heart from different places.
Cheryl Marlene:
Yes. What they would say is that there are many good main reasons and countless individual reasons for each person. In many ways, it’s all contextual. Even though we’d like it to be, it’s rarely transactional.
In other words, not everything happens because of cause and effect. This can be difficult for us to accept because we tend to explain everything through that lens.
