What Are the Akashic Records? builds from first principles. Everything is energy. All energy has motion, intention, and knowing. Energy flows on a continuum from potential to form. The Akashic Records exist at the horizon where human consciousness meets divine consciousness — and they span the full continuum, including the places where form doesn't exist.
From there, the book goes where a single page can't. Into the history of how the library metaphor took hold and why it persists. Into the three pathways within the Akashic Records — knowing, healing, and spiritual practice — and what each one means when you're actually living it. Into the misconceptions that limit how people experience the Records, and what opens up when those misconceptions fall away.
This isn't a how-to manual for opening the Akashic Records. It's the foundational understanding that makes everything else — Readings, learning to open the Records yourself, living with them daily — deeper, clearer, and more alive.
From the Introduction
I have enjoyed connection with the Akashic Records for close to thirty years. I connect for myself, for others, and with an infinite flow of non-human energy. Plus, I have taught thousands to do the same. I've also written numerous books, articles, and courses to explain and experience the energetic nature of the Akashic Records. In other words, I have both credentials and experience to speak authoritatively about what the Akashic Records are, how to connect, and what benefits might be derived from the experience.
What I don't do is explain — or believe — that the Akashic Records are as commonly described as a book, library, or storehouse. I take a contrarian stance to these outdated stereotypes not because I like to be contrary — rather, my explanations are aligned with my experience.
When my experience within the Akashic Records took a path less-travelled, instead of immediately judging myself as wrong, I questioned the premise. I sought to understand. And while in some respects my journey might have been a bit easier, I couldn't ignore the feeling of truth which arose within by being willing to allow my journey to follow the unmarked path. As the poet describes, I followed the road less traveled, and that choice has made all the difference.
In the pages which follow, I will take you down this path and talk about what I have learned and experienced. I don't offer these ideas as proof of anything. When we deal with issues of spiritual consciousness, proof in an intellectual sense by definition does not exist. Instead, understanding is an inner experience, a felt sense, a resonance at center.
Truth is in the heart of the beholder. Pay attention to your heart. This is what I did back then when I first began this journey.
Listening to my heart is how and why I chose to follow this less-traveled road.
